Ken received a BFA from Cal State University at Northridge, California in 1972, and began using his painting and drawing skills to create surreal fantasy worlds on paper and canvas
Starting in 1998, Ken spent 8 years pursuing fine art photography, with a return to his love of painting and hand made art objects in 2006.
Ken’s Sculptural Paintings, come from incorporating 40 years as a carpenter with his fine art painting. The resulting “cut out” pieces seen here are of 3/4” pine with 1/4” masonite layered in certain areas and then painted with acrylic paint.
Drawn to the magnificent light and artist community, Ken moved to Salt Spring Island.BC with his wife Randie in 2004.
Ken has shown his work at galleries in San Francisco, Seattle, Victoria, and Salt Spring Island.
