This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

When I fill the scanner bed from margin to margin with an abundance of flowers, what else can I call this collection? As for all my scans, the inspiration comes from my garden, and also the miraculous floral arrangements from the golden age of Dutch botanical art, those seventeenth century masters and mistresses of light and life!

For my day job, I'm a scientist, a biologist, a geneticist who works with fruit flies to work out esoteric things like how genes are packaged in the cell, or what the genetic basis of aging might be. It's a great job, and I've wanted to be a scientist since I was a child, but I also wanted to be an artist. Both. And a musician. All three. Music was my life for a while; I sang. Nowadays, I hit top C's to bring the class to order.
